Franca's Farm
For Franca's Farm, coming from Aulla, follow the directions for Deglio as far as Monti.
In Monti the road divides ~ where the main road sweeps right for Licciana Nardi, turn left marked Villafranca and Amola; the road winds up the left hand shoulder of the castle hill, and then down the other side into the Amola valley. A little over a mile past the village of Amola, the road crosses a bridge so that instead of the river being on your left, it is now on your right. Take the next right turn, switching back and down over your right shoulder. (If you pass Merizzo, you've gone slightly too far.)
Follow this (slightly rough) track for about a mile to its end and Franca's Farm announces itself at the head of the valley.
